Introduction: The professionalism of nurse can be performed by increasing the advanced education and competence training. The quality is needed for increasing their job. The phenomenon in the practice model’s room of professional nursing, the ability of advanced education and nursing competence training has not optimum yet for realization. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship between advanced education and competence training with the nurse ability in the practice model’s room of professional nursing in region hospital of Temanggung regency.
Methodology: This is a quantitative research with population that used is the nurse in the practice model’s room professional nursing in region hospital of Temanggung regency with the amount sample one hundred and twenty four respondences by purposive sampling in nine rooms. The taken data is done during ten days (started from April the sixteenth until April th twenty sixth two thousand and fourteen). The instrument that is used Ability Questioner which is modified by researcher.
Product: The research product is analysied with Chi Square test and regresi logistic. At bivariat analysis, there are relationship between advanced education with ability (p=0,000), there are not competence training’s relationship to the ability (p=0,056). At multivariat analysis the advanced education’s relationship (0,000), the competence training’s relationship (0,999).
Conclusion: There are relationships between advanced education with nursing ability, there are not relationships competence training to the ability, there are not together’s relationship and the strongest relationship is at advanced education variable. The suggestion for the nurse is they should has some motivations to increase their ability through advanced education and competence training.
